中山先进低温技术研究院在广东省中山市人民政府和中国科学院理化技术研究所的支持下，成立于2020年8月。研究院聚焦超大型低温制冷装备研制和低温技术研究前沿，以重大任务和重点应用技术项目为导向，以任务牵引领域布局和人才队伍建设，围绕先进低温、氢能源、氦资源等战略必争及产业前沿领域，部署若干重大科技任务 ，建设国际领先的技术创新平台，孵化一批具备自主知识产权的高科技企业，助推区域高科技产业集群形成和发展。最终建成中科院未来技术创新研究院战略支撑平台、湾区国际创新中心的重要组成、中山市高质量发展的动力之源、具有国际影响力的高水平研究基地，及相关产业技术创新和引领示范中心。
Zhongshan Institute of Advanced Cryogenic Technology (ZIAC) was founded at Aug,2020 in Zhongshan City, Guangdong Province.ZIAC is an institute dedicates to the research of large Cryogenic refrigeration equipment and Cryogenic technology frontier, with major tasks and key application technology projects as the guidance, using tasks to guide the layout of fields and the construction of talent team. The Institute is committed to focusing on the research and development of ultra-large cryogenic refrigeration equipment and the research frontier of cryogenic technology. Guided by major tasks and key application technology projects, guided by the task-driven field layout and talent team construction, the Institute has deployed several major scientific and technological tasks around the strategic and industrial frontier fields such as advanced cryogenic, hydrogen energy and helium resources, and built an internationally leading technology innovation platform. Incubate a number of high-tech enterprises with independent intellectual property rights to promote the formation and development of regional high-tech industrial clusters.With detailed plans on orientation and development, ZIAC is becoming the strategic support platform for the Institute of technological innovation of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. For Zhongshan City, ZIAC will be an important component of the Bay Area International Innovation Center, the source of power for the high-quality development. Furthermore, ZIAC also aims to be a high-level research base with international influence and a demonstration center for technological innovation and leading in related industries in the coming future.
